Overview

Southern India is renowned for its magnificent architectural wonders, rich cultural heritage, and some of the world’s most beautiful pilgrimage sites. It also boasts some of the most breathtaking beaches globally.
Madurai, situated on the banks of the Vagai River, is famous for its historical landmarks such as the Meenakshi Amman Temple and Thirumala Nayak Palace. It serves as a significant industrial and educational hub. Rameswaram, on the island of Pamban, is separated from the rest of India by the Pamban Channel. The key attraction here is the Ramanathaswamy Temple, a revered site dedicated to Lord Shiva, worshipped as one of the 12 Jyotirlingas (pillar of light). Kanyakumari, on the tip of the Kanyakumari peninsular, is surrounded on three sides by the Laccadive Sea. Here, you can witness both sunrise and sunset over the ocean, a unique experience.

Itinerary

Upon your arrival in Trivandrum, our representative will be ready to greet you, whether you arrive by air or train, and commence your journey. A comfortable car will then transport you to your pre-booked hotel in Kanyakumari. After a short rest, we will begin our exploration, starting with a visit to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial. This museum, located on one of the two rocks approximately 500 meters off Vavathurai's mainland, is believed to have been constructed in 1970 in honor of Swami Vivekananda, who attained enlightenment here. It is situated at the confluence of the Indian Ocean, the Bay of Bengal, and the Arabian Sea. Our next stop will be the Sri Kumari Amman Temple, where you can witness both sunrise and sunset from a single vantage point-a breathtaking sight. After these activities, you'll return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast and bidding farewell to Kanyakumari, your journey's second leg will take you to Rameswaram. En route, we will visit the Thiruchendhur Temple. Your hotel is pre-booked, so you'll only need to complete the check-in process upon arrival. The Ramanathaswamy Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and a significant attraction in Rameswaram, is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Upon checking in, you can relax in the hotel. To conclude the day, we'll visit the Pamban Bridge, which spans the Pal Strait and connects Rameswaram with the rest of India.

The day will kick off with a visit to the revered Ramanathaswamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and believed to have been built around the 17th century. Next, we'll visit the Agni Tirtham Temple, Rameswaram's most sacred site, where taking a dip is believed to help fulfill one's desires. Before visiting the Ramanathaswamy Temple, it's advisable to take a bath. Following the city tour, your next destination is Madurai, where you can relax and enjoy a restful night's sleep.

After a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the renowned Meenakshi Temple, Madurai's primary attraction. The temple complex also houses the Sundareswarar Temple. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati, also known as Meenakshi, and her consort, Lord Shiva. Following this divine visit, your journey will conclude as we drop you off at the airport or train station.
