Day 1 :
Chennai Arrival & Tour
Upon your arrival at Chennai airport or railway station, our representative will warmly greet you and guide you to your selected hotel. After check-in, take some time to relax before embarking on a sightseeing tour of Chennai. Your tour will include visits to iconic landmarks like Fort St. George, St. Thomas Mount, Kapaleeswar Temple, San Thome Cathedral, and more. In the evening, enjoy the serene ambiance of Marina Beach. Rest comfortably at your hotel for the night.
Day 2 :
Chennai – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram (150kms, 5hrs)
Following breakfast, set out on a journey to Mahabalipuram via Kanchipuram. In Kanchipuram, explore the revered Kailasanathar Temple, Ekambareswarar Temple, The Vardarajan Perumal Temple, and the Sakkiswarar Temple. Afterward, continue your drive to Mahabalipuram, the 7th-century former port city renowned for its rock-cut shore temples. Check in at one of the mentioned hotels, take a break, and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 3 :
Mahabalipuram Tour – Pondicherry (100kms, 3hrs)
After a hearty breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram, exploring notable sites like the Shore and the Five Ratha temples, Arjuna’s Penance, and the Tiger Caves. Later, drive to Pondicherry, check in at your hotel, and take some time to relax. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll through the local market of Pondicherry. Return to your hotel for a peaceful overnight stay.
Day 4 :
Pondicherry – Chennai Drop (150kms, 4hrs)
After a delicious breakfast, we will explore Pondicherry's key attractions, including the Auroville Matrimandir, Aurobindo Ashram, Museum, and Botanical Garden. This is your last opportunity to bid farewell to Pondicherry before we drive you back to Chennai for your onward journey or departure.
Day 5 :
Kumbakonam – Tanjore (50kms, 2hrs)
Post breakfast, journey to Tanjore, renowned as the "City of Temples," with famous temples both in and around the city, including the Navagraha temples. Upon reaching Tanjore, check in at your hotel and rest. Later in the evening, enjoy a guided city tour of Tanjore, visiting iconic attractions such as the Vijayanagar Fort, Shiva Ganga Garden, Aalangudi temple, Brihadeeshwara temple, and the Chandra Bagawan Temple. Return to your hotel for a peaceful overnight stay.
Day 6 :
Tanjore – Rameshwaram (250kms, 5hrs)
After breakfast, proceed to Rameshwaram and visit the Ramanathaswamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Rama, one of the seven places in India where pilgrims seek salvation. This unique temple boasts 22 holy springs and the country's longest corridor. Visit the five-faced Hanuman Temple, known for its floating stone, a testament to the tales from the epic Ramayana. Explore Dhanushkodi Beach, closing at 5 PM, before an overnight stay in Rameswaram.
Day 7 :
Rameshwaram – Madurai (170kms, 3hrs)
Following breakfast, check out and drive to Madurai. Upon arrival, visit the Meenakshi Amman Temple, a historic Hindu temple located on the southern bank of the Vaigai River. This temple is dedicated to Meenakshi, a form of Parvati, and her consort, Sundareswarar, a form of Shiva. In the evening, enjoy a light and sound show at Thirumanalaik Hall. Day 8 :
Madurai – Trichy Drop (150kms, 4hrs)
After breakfast, our tour guide will arrange your transfer to Trichy airport or railway station for your onward journey.
