Itinerary
Day 1 :
Srinagar
In the afternoon, embark on a captivating boat ride across Dal Lake, one of India's most prominent water bodies. The cityscape unfolds with breathtaking beauty, adorned by landscaped flowering gardens, crystal-clear lakes, grand structures, and lively markets. Srinagar's gem, Dal Lake, nestles amidst the Pir Panjal Mountains, its serene waters reflecting the misty peaks. This hillside lake, extending over 22 square kilometers, showcases the charm of colorful wooden houseboats gracefully drifting. Indulge in one of Srinagar's most thrilling experiences – a Shikara ride, navigating the tranquil Dal Lake. Conclude the day with a return to the houseboat, immersed in the allure of this picturesque setting.

Day 2 :
Pahalgam
Following breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Pahalgam, covering a distance of approximately 96 kilometers in a scenic 3-hour drive. Known as the "Valley of Shepherds," Pahalgam welcomes you upon arrival at the hotel. Check in and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the surroundings, taking a leisurely stroll along the banks of the River Lidder. Pahalgam, renowned for its trekking routes, also serves as the base camp for the Amarnath Pilgrimage. Enjoy an overnight stay in Pahalgam, surrounded by its picturesque landscapes.
Day 3 :
Pahalgam
Sightseeing in Pahalgam Aru, Chandanwari, and beta valley 2-3 hrs by local Union cab
After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing journey with a local union cab. Visit Chandanwari, situated at an elevation of 2,895 meters and 16 kilometers (10 miles) from Pahalgam, serving as the starting point for the Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage. The road from Pahalgam to Chandanwari is winding, occasionally presenting a relatively flat terrain with some steep curves, suitable for skilled driving in cars (not buses and trucks for the most part). Beyond Chandanwari, the track becomes steeper, accessible only on foot or by pony. Explore the scenic route, including the mountain lake of Sheshnag at 11 km, Panchtarni at 13 km, and the narrow spiraling path leading to the Amarnath Cave. Visit Betaab Valley, named after Sunny Deol's movie "Betaab," surrounded by snow-covered peaks, dense forests, and the RiverSheshnag. Explore the charming village upstream the Lidder River, a starting point for treks to the Kolahoi glacier. The picturesque journey includes a beautiful garden, a bridge over the river ARU, and ample campsites. In the evening, explore Pahalgam bazaar.

Day 4 :
Gulmarg
After breakfast, embark on a journey to Gulmarg, the Meadow of Flowers, situated at an altitude of 2730 m above sea level. Covering a distance of approximately 145 km from Pahalgam, the drive takes around five hours. Gulmarg stands as one of India's top-notch hill resorts. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and delve into exploring Gulmarg, engaging in individual activities. The place is renowned for its exceptional beauty, featuring the world's highest green golf course and transforming into India's premier ski resort during winter. Enjoy breathtaking views of the majestic Nanga Parbat on clear days, and experience the first phase of the Gondola ride in Gulmarg.

Day 5 :
Srinagar
After breakfast, proceed to Srinagar, where upon arrival, you'll embark on a sightseeing tour of the city. Explore the renowned Mughal Gardens, including Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh. Nishat Bagh, the Abode of Pleasure, was constructed in 1632 AD by Asif Khan, the brother of Empress Noorjehan. Shalimar Bagh, the Abode of Love, was built by Jehangir in 1633 AD for his wife Noor Jehan. These gardens, situated on the bank of Dal Lake, offer a picturesque view of the Zabarwan Mountains. Later, check in at the hotel for a comfortable stay.

Day 6 :
Srinagar
After breakfast, proceed to Sonamarg for a full-day excursion covering a distance of about 96 km, taking approximately 3 hours. Situated at the head of the Sindh valley, Sonamarg offers a breathtaking view of the countryside, surrounded by mountains and pine forests. Enjoy attractive walks and the option of a pony ride to the Thajiwas glacier, accessible after a short and interesting walk from Sonamarg. Thajiwas is renowned for its glaciers, miniature plateaus, snowfields, pines, and islets that enhance its charm. Sonamarg serves as the main base for treks passing through mountain lakes like Vishansar, Kishansar, Gadsar, Satsar, and Gangabal. It is a pivotal point for the drive to Ladakh across the Zoji La pass and the starting point for the pilgrimage to the holy Amarnath cave. The Sindh River flowing through the valley is abundant with trout and mahaseer. Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier, a major local attraction during the summer months. In the evening, return to Srinagar for an overnight stay. After breakfast the next day, transfer to Srinagar airport for your onward flight.
